Fear Not

The Bible speaks about money, love, sex, children, and death.  But the most common phrase in the Bible is "Fear Not".

When Pope John Paul II spoke to his native Polish people upon becoming Pope, the first words he said to his countrymen were, "Fear Not".  He was speaking to people who had lived a miserable life under the bonds of Communism.  They had much they could have feared.  But the people—as a country of individuals—became bold, and threw off the shackles of Communism.

There are many scary things out there.  But living in fear doesn't make any of it better.  Fear Not.
